Why have I started Lead with Sheree

After 17 years in L&D and leadership roles, I know how overwhelming it feels to move from designing learning to driving strategy, often with no clear roadmap.

Too many talented professionals get stuck doing the work instead of leading it because no one shows them how to influence stakeholders, build credibility, and lead with impact.

I started Lead with Sheree to change that because L&D leadership is a skill anyone can learn with the right support.

My Professional Bio: Sheree Comninellis

Sheree Comninellis is an entrepreneur, strategist, and Learning & Development expert with a passion for helping new leaders build the confidence and skills they need to lead with clarity.

With over 17 years of experience in leadership roles, Sheree has a proven track record of developing and mentoring leaders at all levels. She has worked across a range of industries, from small businesses to large corporations, helping them build their leadership capacity.

In 2023, Sheree founded Lead with Sheree to help ambitious L&D professionals step into leadership through practical tools, expert guidance, and the L&D Leader Collective—a membership designed to fast-track your growth as an influential L&D leader.

What sets Sheree apart is her unique combination of experience—she is currently leading an L&D team within a global retail organization, where she applies her leadership expertise every day. This blend of hands-on corporate leadership experience and a deep understanding of leadership development enables her to offer relevant, real-world insights to her clients.

Sheree holds a Bachelor of Social Science (Hons.) from the University of Cape Town, as well as an Occupationally Directed Education, Training, and Development qualification from the Academy of People Development Africa.

Outside of work, Sheree is happily married with a growing family and an energetic beagle. She lives in Cape Town, and in her free time, she enjoys reading historical fiction, trying out new restaurants, and visiting the Aquarium.
